Behind The Lens: A Look Back at 2025 at Occhiali Bespoke Eyewear
As we close the chapter on 2025, we’re inviting you behind the lens to reflect on what has been our busiest and most exciting year yet. From international travel and trade shows, to new brand launches and collaborations, events and even personal milestones, this year has truly been one for the books.
A year that started in style ✨
We kicked off 2025 by jetting off to Milan for the world-renowned MIDO Eyewear Exhibition. An inspiring few days immersed in innovation, design and all things eyewear, it set the tone perfectly for the year ahead. Erin was even honoured to be asked to summarise her experience at the show in an article for Dispensing Optics, a real pinch-me moment!
New collections & sunny escapes 😎
This year also saw the introduction of a beautiful new eyewear collection to the boutique - FOLC Eyewear - a brand we absolutely love for its effortless style and stunning craftsmanship. The brand originates in Barcelona and is founded by designer Marta, who we had the absolute pleasure of meeting whilst at MIDO. It was amazing to hear about the collection and the design inspiration behind it straight from her. She also helped us curate our initial selection of FOLC for our boutique, which was super special.
Somewhere amongst the madness we also managed to escape to Portugal, where we enjoyed a few days in Porto and then another few in Lisbon, and our Vinylize sunglasses never left our faces!

Events, collaborations & community 🍹
Back home, the calendar filled quickly with events we’re incredibly proud of:
• Our Shades + Spritz sunglass event brought summer vibes to the boutique
• We exhibited at our very first wedding fayre
• A stunning photoshoot marked our collaboration with Jo-AMI
• Erin featured on a podcast with Greene Creatives, chatting all things business and life
• A pop-up at Eva Lucia Boutique, where Erin offered mini colour analysis consultations
• Our collaborative catwalk + pop-up event with Jo-AMI, raising money for Marie Curie, which was so much fun and a highlight of the year
Colour, creativity & confidence 🎨
2025 was also a huge year personally, with Erin qualifying as a Professional Colour Consultant. This led to not only showcasing our eyewear (as we usually do) at the Winter Collective at Pratis Barns in Leven, but also hosting a workshop “An Introduction to Colour Analysis” that was so much fun to deliver.
Ending the year with fizz 🥂
We rounded off the year in true Occhiali style with our annual Fizz + Frames party - a chance to celebrate, connect and toast another incredible year - while continuing to do what we love most… Styling our amazing clients in eyewear that makes them feel confident and fabulous.
A heartfelt thank you
This has been our most exhausting (in the best way 🤪) year yet, and we’ve loved every single minute. A huge part of that is thanks to working with the brilliant Danni at Greene Creatives, who pushed us out of our comfort zone, kept us accountable and helped transform our business in ways we’ll always be grateful for.
And of course, thank you to our all of our wonderful clients. Your continued support, trust and loyalty means the world to us - not just this year, but every year.
We are currently closed for the holidays and some well-earned rest, and will reopen on Wednesday 7th January.
